Detective Daniel Bardwell, from the Frisco, Texas Police Department, has been paralyzed from just below the neck down.  Detective Bardwell has served this country and the local community for 12 years as one of our Top First Responders.  One of our first acts will be to perform the necessary modifications to the Bardwell family home so that he can access the house when, we hope, he gets to come home from the hospital later this month (October).  The ULTIMATE SACRIFICE ASSOCIATION Family is honored to be able to assist this Law Enforcement Hero.

The ULTIMATE SACRIFICE ASSOCIATION (USA) Family is honored to be able to make a commitment to support one of our FireFighter Heroes, Trevor Toberny, and his family. Trevor lost his leg as a result of his service to his community. After a total of 28 Surgeries Trevor's leg could, unfortunately, not be saved. One of USA's first acts is to build access ramps to the Trevor Family Home so that Trevor can enter and exit in his wheel chair. This family has been through much. What is not readily known is that whenever one of our Firefighter or Law Enforcement Heroes is injured in the line of duty......it is a Workman's Comp Claim with all of the challenges.

U.S. Army Sgt. Stephen Jackel joined the military in 2008. During his time in the service, Jackel was deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan where he received countless awards, including a Purple Heart. Jackel was injured when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded underneath his RG31 vehicle. The force of the blast knocked Jackel out. When Jackel came to he realized that he was trapped inside the burning vehicle, along with his team members. While attempting to escape and save the lives of several soldiers, Jackel used his amputated leg to put out the flames around him before finding an exit through the hatch at the top of the vehicle. With the hatch open, he quickly assisted others out of the burning vehicle. The blast left Jackel with severe injuries, including bilateral below the knee amputations and a traumatic brain injury. The ULTIMATE SACRIFICE ASSOCIATION (USA) Family is honored to be able to support this Hero and his Family with personal and medical needs that are not covered by the VA.
